Streaming Help
1. How do I watch a movie?
To watch a movie you need to have Windows Media Player 9 installed on your computer.
2. Windows Media Player has opened but nothing happens.
Try selecting a lower connection speed.
Make sure that you have the latest version of Windows Media Player. To watch movies with Tiscali Cinema you need Windows Media Player 9 or higher.
3. The video seems slow or keeps stopping.
These problems are usually related to the speed of your internet connection.
Try selecting a lower connection speed (e.g. 256) for video playback.
If you're using a 56 Kbps (or slower) modem or an ISDN line, the connection is too slow to get the content smoothly.
If your ISP is not Tiscali, the problem probably related to your internet connection. In this case you should contact your ISP to find out the cause of the problem.
4. The video often gets stuck and the word 'buffering' appears.
This indicates a problem related to the network. See point 3, above.
5. I can hear the audio but the video is black.
This suggests a problem related to the network. See point 3, above. Make sure you have your Windows Media Player connection setting set to 'Detect connection speed'. You can set this from the Tools menu and selecting Performance.
6. Can I watch movies on a Mac? Unfortunately we cannot support Macs at the moment.
